Man injured in two-car crash with head trauma

Emergency staff report a fifty-eight-year-old man involved in a two-car crash where his vehicle struck the side of another car at about 30 miles per hour. He hit his head on the windshield, causing a bump and cracking of the glass, and briefly lost consciousness. When first reached, he was confused and slow to respond but became fully alert during care. His blood pressure was high, but his pulse, breathing, and oxygen level were stable. He was taken to a trauma center for further evaluation of his head injury after the collision.
