Elderly woman taken to hospital for stroke symptoms

An ambulance from Baltimore County is taking an 87-year-old woman to St. Agnes Hospital as a stroke alert. She called 911 after feeling a strange sensation on the left side of her face and some shortness of breath. When medics arrived, she was speaking normally, but then developed trouble speaking, including saying her name and date of birth. She reported tenderness or a funny feeling in her left cheek and said her vision sometimes looked upside down with V-shaped patterns. Medics later noticed possible facial droop, though her arm and leg strength were equal. Her blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen level were reported, and she was being given an intravenous line and monitored on the way to the hospital.
