Firefighters battle attic blaze on Hillside Dr

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews in Independence responded to a structure fire affecting the attic of a main building on Hillside Drive. Multiple engines and command units worked to establish water supply and bring flames under control. Utilities were notified and additional engines were requested. The fire was largely contained to the attic area, with some structural concerns noted on the north side stairs. No injuries were reported at this time.
