Intoxicated man in parking lot taken for evaluation

A 61-year-old man was found intoxicated in a parking lot outside a grocery store. Store staff asked him to leave and contacted the police. Police reported that he had been drinking heavily, including about half a bottle of vodka, and requested medical transport. The man said he had a heart attack about a month earlier and has a history of heart rhythm problems. He asked to be evaluated to help him stop drinking alcohol. When assessed, he was alert, breathing normally, able to walk without help, and his vital signs were stable. He was transported for further evaluation.
