Officials respond to smoke near Hutchinson Island

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews were dispatched after reports of a large plume of smoke on the north side of the Savannah River, near Hutchinson Island. Units discussed whether to approach from Eastern Wharf or the Talmadge area. Responders established a command post and continued monitoring conditions. The cause of the smoke was not confirmed at the time of the report.
