Fire crews battle large grass fire near Rock Creek

As discussed during the dispatch call, emergency crews responded to an out-of-control grass fire near Edwards Road in the Rock Creek area of Valley Falls, Kansas. The fire covered an estimated five acres and was moving north toward a tree line and several hay bales. Access was available from the south side of the trees. Fire units and District 11 were dispatched to contain the blaze, which was described as uncontrolled.
